Statewide Emergency is a rock and roll quartet that plays honest original
music with complex melodies and quality musicianship. Although much of the
vocals and guitar are rooted in blues and alternative music (The Black Keys,
Queens of the Stone Age), the rhythm section is inspired by more straight
ahead rock bands such as Led Zeppelin and The Dead Weather leaving more
intrigue than doubt about what genre the band plays. One music writer described
it as “balls-to-the-wall rock laced with blues and an alternative
touch.”
January 2010 - We are currently in the process of producing and recording
our second E.P. These newer songs explore a lot more sounds and influences
than the first album, but at the same time we have created our sound as
a band with a more intricate and explosive rhythm section, and more recognizable
vocals. We are planning to have the E.P finished and released this Spring....More
